RFF in Luso-Brazilian Webinar about the introduction of VAT in Brazil

Rogério Fernandes Ferreira will integrate, as a speaker, the webinar on "Tax Reform: the Portuguese VAT and the Brazilian project of taxation on consumption", in a Portuguese-Brazilian dialogue that will take place next Thursday, August 27, at 9:00 pm, Portuguese mainland time (5:00 pm, Brasília time).

This event is organized by the Institute of Lawyers of Pernambuco (IAP) and will be mediated by Carlos Sant'Anna, President of the Commission of Tax Law of the IAP and Professor at Escola Superior de Advocacia PE (ESA) and Eric Castro e Silva, Professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Dr. Gustavo Ventura, Professor of Law and President of the Institute of Lawyers of Pernambuco, will also participate.

The partner and founder of RFF & Associados states that it is essential to promote this type of events, namely with countries with which Portugal maintains affinities and privileged relationships, which can certainly anticipate the solutions of various problems and raise new issues to be solved in different phases of the tax transition of nearby countries.

Dr. Gustavo Ventura, a local partner of RFF & Associados in Recife, states that it is important to listen to the Portuguese and European experience on value added tax, and bring that experience to the possible tax reform that will take place in Brazil.
